Frequently Asked Questions:

This exam typically last about 20 minutes.

Prior to the exam we will have you submit  5 selfie photos so the doctor can accurately assess your teeth.  The doctor and Treatment Coordinator will then Zoom with you to discuss your treatment options, answer any questions you have, and give you a fee quote.  They can also discuss the best next steps for you.

This exam isn’t done in real-time.  We will have you submit 5 selfie photos, then within 24 hours the doctor will send you a personalized treatment video that outlines your options for Invisalign or braces.  Our Treatment Coordinator will give you a fee quote and follow up to answer questions and the next best steps for you

The exam typically lasts about 60 minutes.

The first 20 minutes of the exam is dedicated to meeting you and taking orthodontic records (digital scan of your teeth, photos, panoramic x-ray) at no charge to you. These records assist our doctors in customizing your plan.

The next 30 minutes you will meet with a doctor and our Treatment Coordinator to discuss your treatment options. We’ll have a two way discussion with you to make sure we understand and meet your treatment goals and answer all of your questions.

The last 10 minutes you will meet with our Treatment Coordinator to review the treatment fee, payment options, and best next steps for you.

There are 5 essential questions that we will cover during the consultation:

  1. Is there an orthodontic problem, and if so, what is it?
  2. What treatment options are available to you to correct the problem? (i.e. braces, Invisalign, expander, etc.)
  3. What is the estimated length of treatment?
  4. What is the total cost of treatment?
  5. What payment options are available?

There are no hidden fees. The entire consultation, including all photos, x-rays and the assessment by our orthodontist are completely free.

Orthodontists are dentists who, after finishing 4 years of dental school, then went on to orthodontic school for another 2-3 years of extensive training.  The only thing our doctors do – all day, every day – is straighten teeth.  Dr. Nelson and Dr. Steinhart have treated over 20,000 patients with Invisalign or braces, you are in expert hands.

No, Invisalign treatment isn’t the same wherever you get it. Invisalign is a doctor-driven treatment, each doctor prescribes the specific movement for each tooth of every patient. Invisalign manufactures aligners based on the doctor’s prescription, so the doctor that treats you makes all the difference.

Doctor Nelson and Doctor Steinhart are top 1% Invisalign Providers in the world – they have more experience than 99% of the doctors doing Invisalign. They have treated over 20,000 patients with Invisalign or braces, you are in expert hands.

Treatment times vary depending on your treatment plan and goals.  A typical comprehensive plan that includes straightening and full bite correction often lasts around 12-18 months.  For limited cosmetic alignment of front teeth, we can often finish these cases in about 6 months.

For our Invisalign treatment our typical appointment interval is about every 10-12 weeks.  For our patients in braces, the average time between visits is 5-6 weeks.
